Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Note 10 Pro launch set for August 7 in New York: Report
HIGHLIGHTS

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Series could launch on August 7 in New York.

Last year, the Galaxy Note 9 was also unveiled in the same city.

Samsung will hold the ‘Unpacked’ event for the Galaxy Note 10 and the rumoured Galaxy Note 10 Pro at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on August 7, CNET has claimed in a report citing people familiar with the plans. The report also notes that since the launch is about two months away, the company could also change the launch date. Barclays Center is the same place where the South Korean giant launched the Galaxy Note 9 last year. Earlier this month, Korea-based publication ETNews had claimed that the Galaxy Note 10 would launch on August 10.

Samsung will reportedly launch two models, the regular Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Pro. The major difference between the phones could be in size of the display. A report had claimed that the regular model will have a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, while the Pro variant will sport a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel. The development is still not confirmed, however, the images of a case allegedly belonging to the larger variant are already making the rounds on the internet.

The phone renders leaked so far show the alleged Galaxy Note device sporting a triple camera setup on the back. The cameras are vertically aligned in a module situated on the top left corner of the back panel. On the right side of the module, there is an LED flash and two other sensors about which nothing is known as of now. Samsung has already moved on to the next generation of biometric authentication, and the Note Series is likely to have an in-display fingerprint sensor like the Galaxy S10-Series.

When it comes to the processing power, the Galaxy Note phones are expected to ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC in the US. For the other markets, the phone could launch with the indigenously-developed Exynos 9820 chipset. When it comes to the battery, it is reported that the phones will house 4170mAh capacity batteries. There are reports which claim that Samsung will do away with the 3.5mm headphone jack from Note devices this year.
