Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 phablet launched in India at Rs. 20,900

Samsung aims to expand its portfolio in the mid-range smartphone segment in India with the new Galaxy Mega 2.

Samsung has launched its Galaxy Mega 2 phablet in India. Priced at Rs. 20,900, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 supports dual-SIM, runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor along with 1.5GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 has 6-inch 720p display. It has 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front facing camera. The smartphone comes with 16GB of built-in storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB).

In terms of connectivity, the Mega 2 supports dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and microUSB. The phablet is powered by a 2800 mAh battery.

The new Samsung phablet will competing against a range of mid-range Andorid smartphones in the market.

Samsung recently launched its flagship phone – Galaxy Note 4 – in India. The Galaxy Note 4 has a 5.7 inch Quad-HD Super AMOLED display with a 2,560×1,440 pixel resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, along with 3GB of RAM.
