After making an appearance on Geekbench, the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) has now been spotted on GFXBench. As per the listing, the phone sports a 5.5-inch 720p display and is powered by the company’s own octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC with 2GB of RAM. It is also tipped to come with 8MP and 5MP cameras, along with 16GB of inbuilt storage. The device is running Android Nougat.
It should be noted that the Galaxy J7 model that passed through Geekbench was powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 SoC instead of Exynos. This suggests that Samsung may launch the device with different chipsets, depending on the region.
Samsung launched the 2016 version of the Galaxy J7 in India in May last year. The device was launched at a price of Rs. 15,990 and also sported a 5.5-inch HD display along with an Exynos SoC with 2GB RAM. Later in the year, the company launched a improved version of the device called the Galaxy J7 Prime. The device offered a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 3GB of RAM. It also offered an 8MP front camera instead of a 5MP camera used on the Galaxy J7 (2016). Further, the company recently launched the Galaxy J2 Ace and Galaxy J1 4G in India at Rs. 8,490 and Rs. 6,890 respectively.
