Samsung’s new Android phablet, Galaxy Grand 2, is up for pre-order via its official e-store. Customers can book the device by paying an advance of Rs. 2,000. The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is expected to be available in the first week of January. Though there’s no official word on the final pricing of the phablet, it’s expected between Rs. 22,990 and Rs. 24,990
Samsung had announced the Galaxy Grand 2 for the Indian market earlier this week. Successor to the original Galaxy Grand a.k.a Galaxy Grand Duos, the smartphone features dual-SIM support, 5.25-inch 720p TFT display. The Grand 2 runs Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 1.5GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Grand 2 comes with an 8GB built-in storage, expandable up to 64GB via microSD. The smartphone has an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and Auto Focus and 1.9MP secondary camera. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, BT4.0, GPS Glonass, USB 2.0.
It is powered by a 2,600mAh battery, providing up to 10 hours of playback and 17 hours of calls. The smartphone comes pre-installed with various apps such as ChatON, Samsung Hub, S Health, Group Play, S Travel, S Translator, Samsung Link, Story Album.
