Samsung has dropped an entry-level smartphone in the Indian market, the Galaxy F15 5G. It is a sub-15K smartphone that follows the same next-gen Samsung design, just like any other Samsung smartphone. It is packed with a massive battery, a 50-megapixel triple camera setup, and more. If you are planning to buy a budget smartphone, firstly check out this comparison of the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G and Lava Storm 5G. Both smartphones fall under the same price segment. Let’s go!
Let’s talk about the display of both of these devices first. The Samsung Galaxy F15 5G has a 6.5-inch full HD+ AMOLED display that offers up to 90Hz refresh rate. The Lava Storm 5G, on the other hand, packs a 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate support.
If I have to choose one among these two, I’d go for the Lava Storm 5G. Why? Because I want my phone’s display to be smoother rather than having rich colours.

The Samsung Galaxy F15 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor and runs on Android 14. You get up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage on it. Whereas, the Lava Storm 5G runs on MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset along with Android 13 out of the box. Here, you get 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Both chipsets fall under similar platform, however, the MediaTek 6100+ is slightly more powerful. But, the Lava Storm 5G comes with bigger RAM. The performance of both these smartphones might not differ very much.
Now coming to my favourite part, the camera. With the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, you get a triple camera setup on the rear. It has a 50-megapixel primary camera with Video Digital Image Stabilization (VDIS). Samsung hasn’t revealed other two sensors but they include a 5-megapixel secondary lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. You get a 13-megapixel selfie shooter with this smartphone.
Unfortunately, there is only a dual camera set up on the Lava Storm 5G, which includes a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. For selfies, it is equipped with a 16-megapixel camera on the front.
