The phone might be Samsung’s first device to offer 6GB of RAM
The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro has been listed by Chinese retailer T-Mall, ahead of its official unveiling. As per the listing, the phone will sport a metal body along with a 6-inch Full HD display. It is tipped to come with 6GB of RAM and the new Snapdragon 653 SoC that was unveiled by Qualcomm just a few days ago. The device may also have a focus on selfies as it is listed as having 16MP front and rear cameras. It is also expected to come with a 64GB of onboard storage, 4000mAh battery and a USB Type-C port. The phone is listed at CNY 3199, which is roughly Rs. 31,600. A user on Weibo also posted images and specifications of the device and it too lines up with what’s listed on T-Mall.
If the leaks are true, then this might be Samsung’s first smartphone to sport 6GB of RAM. There were reports that Samsung was planning to launch a 6GB variant of the Galaxy Note 7 in China. The idea behind the move was to be more competitive with other Chinese manufacturers like LeEco and OnePlus, which already offer 6GB of RAM on their phones. However, the 6GB RAM variant of the Galaxy Note 7 was never launched because, well…
