Samsung has officially announced its third generation Galaxy Ace smartphone. The new Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. The Ace 3 has a Galaxy S4-inspired design and comes with a mid-range smartphone like specifications.
The Galaxy Ace 3 has a 4.3-inch TFT LCD with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It measures 121.2 x 62.7 x 9.8 mm and weighs 115 grams. It sports a 5MP camera with LED flash and supports recording 720p HD @30fps video. There’s a VGA front-facing camera.
The Galaxy Ace 3 features 4GB built-in storage (user memory approximately 1.77GB), microSD slot (up to 64GB) and 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes pre-installed with a slew of Samsung apps such as S Translator, S Voice, Smart Tray and Easy Mode.
For connectivity, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (single-band), Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 and A-GPS. There’s a 1,500mAh battery. Check out the full specifications of the smartphone here.
Samsung will be launching Galaxy Ace 3 in two different versions – 3G or LTE depending on the market. There will be a dual-SIM variant of the smartphone as well. There’s no word on the pricing and availability of the smartphone. More information is expected to be revealed at the June 20 Samsung event in London.
