While the exact release date is unknown, Galaxy AI is expected to become available through the One UI 6.1.1 update for these A-series devices sometime this month or next. However, there are a few important details to note.
Not all Galaxy AI features are expected to be included in the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55. Details are scarce on which specific AI tools will be available, but it’s likely that features requiring extensive on-device processing power may be excluded.

Currently, the rollout of Galaxy AI is anticipated only for the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55. There’s no information yet on whether older Galaxy A models, like the Galaxy A54—despite sharing the same Exynos 1380 SoC with the Galaxy A35—will receive the update. It appears Samsung may be focusing Galaxy AI on models released in 2024 and beyond.
At the Unpacked 2024 event, Samsung announced its ambitious plan to extend Galaxy AI to over 200 million Galaxy devices, including phones, tablets, and wearables.
In my opinion, Samsung’s move to extend Galaxy AI to the Galaxy A35 and A55 will be a promising step towards making advanced AI features more accessible to a wider audience.
