Samsung is reportedly planning to launch a new mid-range Galaxy foldable smartphone next year. The new mid-range Galaxy foldable smartphone from Samsung is expected to make the innovation of foldable displays more accessible and popular among consumers.

According to a report by SamMobile, the tech giant is working on a third foldable phone series which would be available at a lower price point.

The news was first reported by TrendForce. Samsung is expected to unveil a mid-range foldable smartphone in the coming year, as indicated by supply chain developments. This mid-range Galaxy device could aim to lower price barriers and enhance the accessibility of foldable phones for a wider consumer base.

It appears that this third foldable Galaxy device is intended to be priced below the Galaxy Z Flip, rather than serving as a bridge between the Flip and the Fold models.

Currently, there is a lack of information regarding the form factor, specifications, and pricing of this mid-range foldable Galaxy phone. A prior rumour suggested that it might be included in the expanding Fan Edition lineup, but this remains speculative at this point. 

The year 2024 could be really exciting for Samsung fans with rumours about a mid-range foldable phone, the return of Exynos chips for the Galaxy S series, a potential XR headset launch, and AI-driven features in flagship smartphones. But, we’ll have to wait and see how many of these rumours come true.

Recently, Samsung introduced its own generative AI model called the ‘Samsung Gauss’. Samsung Gauss majorly offers these three things: Samsung Gauss Language, Samsung Gauss Code, and Samsung Gauss Image. The Samsung Gauss is currently being used internally by Samsung employees. However, the company is working steadily to roll it out soon.
