Samsung announces four entry level phones running Android 4.4 Kitkat

Samsung has announced four new phones which will running Android 4.4 Kitkat and will be entering the entry level segment later this year.

Samsung has announced four new updated phones in the entry level Android category. All phones are new versions of its old entry level range. The models launched are the Galaxy Core II, Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Young 2, and Galaxy Star 2. All phones run Samsung’s new TouchWiz essence skin, which is a lightweight iteration of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. All phones will come with Android 4.4 Kitakat out of the box.

Galaxy Core II

The Galaxy Core II runs on a quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU and 768MB of RAM. The phone sports a 480 x 800 pixels 4.5 inch display with 4 GB of internal storage and microSD card support upto 64GB. The phone has a 5 MP rear facing camera with LED flash and a front facing VGA camera.

Galaxy Ace 4

The Galaxy Ace 4 is a 4 inch phone with a 480 x 800 resolution display running on a dual-core 1 GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. The phone comes with 4GB internal storage with support for microSD cards upto 64GB. The Phone has a 5MP primary camera and a VGA secondary camera.

Galaxy Young 2

The Galaxy Young 2 is the second avatar of the Galaxy Y phone from Samsung. The phone is powerd by a 1GHz CPU and has 512MB of RAM. The phone comes with 4GB internal storage which can be upgraded to 32GB via microSD. The phone has a 3.15MP rear camera and comes with a 3.5-inch screen at 320 x 480 resolution.

Galaxy Star 2

The Galaxy Star 2 has a 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM. The phone comes with 4GB internal storage and supports a 32GB microSD card. It has a 3.5 inch screen running at 320 x 480 pixels. It has a 2MP primary camera which can shoot VGA videos @24fps.
