HTC has reportedly been working on a mid range Android device codenamed Zara. Now it has been revealed that the device will be launched as the Desire 601 successor to the HTC Desire 600 dual-SIM smartphone launched earlier this year.
The HTC Desire 601 looks similar to the HTC One and HTC Desire. It has a 4.5-inch touchscreen with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. It will feature HTC’s Sense 5.5 UI on top of the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. The device will be powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card support. The smartphone will sport an 8 MP rear camera, Beats Audio and a 2,100 mAh battery.
Along with the HTC Desire 601 rumors are ripe about the new HTC Zara Mini smartphone. According to a tweet from evleaks, the HTC Zara mini will be launched as the HTC Z3. The phone will have a 4.3 inch touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution and dual SIM slots. According to rumors the smartphone will have a dual-core 1GHz processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card slot. The HTC Z3 will have a 5MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front facing camera. The phone will run on a version of Android Jelly Bean OS.
There has been no word about the pricing and availability of the smartphones from HTC, but @evleaks is tipping a Q4 release.
