Shortly following the launch of the iPhone 15 series, rumours about the next iPhone 16 smartphone series have already started circulating online. According to reports, Apple will likely swap the high-end “Pro Max” model with “Ultra” for the iPhone 16 series.
According to a report by SamMobile, Apple is expected to call its top-tier model “Ultra,” not the usual “Pro Max” for the iPhone 16 series.

Some tech sources like Apple Product Blog and reporter Majin Bu are saying that the iPhone 16 Ultra will have three new, smaller camera modules. What’s really interesting is that these cameras might work with the Vision Pro headset, which could make augmented reality experiences way cooler.

The standard iPhone 16 is expected to offer a 120 Hz refresh rate and a feature to switch to “millimetre wave mode” to conserve battery.
Another eye-catching detail is the rumoured “View Button” on the iPhone 16 Pro. This feature is expected to bear resemblance to Microsoft’s Glance Bar found in the Surface Duo 2, and it’s worth noting that this will likely be a physical button, not a digital one.
“Could this be a nostalgic nod to physical buttons or a functional tweak for an enhanced user experience?” the report said.
Prior leaks suggest that the iPhone 16 series might introduce virtual solid-state buttons, offering a blend of style and usability. The Pro model is expected to boast a 6.3-inch display and notable camera enhancements, including a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 5X polyprism Telephoto lens.
Apple announced its latest iPhone 15 series earlier this month. The new iPhone 15 lineup includes four smartphones: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and the high-end iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models start at ₹79,900 and ₹89,900 respectively in India. Whereas, the iPhone 15 Pro launched at a starting price of ₹1,34,900, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max at a starting price of ₹1,59,900.
