Evan Blass, better known as @evleaks, has posted new images that show renders of the two new flagship Lumia devices, codenamed ‘Cityman’ and ‘Talkman’. There is another image that reportedly shows the Cityman connected to a docking station, although no details have been given about that.
Cityman and Talkman are the codenames for the upcoming flagship devices by Microsoft, which might be called the Lumia 950XL and the 950. Judging by these renders, we can see subtle differences in designs of the two phones, most prominent being the placement of the volume and power buttons. The buttons are closer to the middle in the Cityman, while in the Talkman, the volume rocker is placed closer to the top. This could be because of the larger screen of the Cityman. According to rumors, the Cityman will have a 5.7-inch screen as compared to the 5.2-inch screen of the Talkman.
Microsoft is reportedly planning a major event in October, where it might reveal these two devices, along with a Surface 4 and a Band 2. Judging by rumors, the Lumia 950XL (Cityman) is expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3300mAh battery. The Lumia 950 (Talkman) will have a smaller, 5.2-inch Quad HD display powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor. Both the devices is expected to launch with Windows 10 Mobile straight out of the box.
