I remember when I was back in school, HTC was one of the most popular smartphone brands and everyone loved flexing it. It was the “it” smartphone. But ever since then HTC has been dead and no one has heard of it for some time now. However, things are about to change. HTC is all set to make a comeback with a new smartphone. Don’t know about you, but I am pretty excited about it. Let’s find out.

When will the new HTC phone launch?

HTC is expected to drop a new smartphone in the market on June 12th. The company confirmed the same by taking to X (formerly Twitter). The teaser also showed us the smartphone’s side profile, but we don’t know much. The smartphone will be unveiled at 8 am local time. We think that this can be the HTC U24 Pro.

The company post read, “The new HTC 2024 is coming soon, please lock in htc.com”.

If we look at HTC’s history, it has been a while since the company launched a big smartphone. Last year it unveiled the HTC U23 Pro in Europe. But this device was a limited edition and was only unveiled in European countries. It never made it to India. However, we are hopeful that the HTC U24 Pro will be launched in India too.

Expected specs

The HTC U24 Pro could have a Full HD+ display, which was confirmed by its spotting on the Google Play Console database. The HTC U24 Pro was previously also spotted on the Geekbench listing. It is confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It can pack 12GB of RAM and might run on Android 14. It can also have an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
