Reliance LYF Wind 7S launched with 4G VoLTE support at Rs 5,699
Reliance LYF Wind 7S is a dual SIM smartphone with support for Jio's 4G VoLTE out of the box
Reliance has announced another new smartphone in its LYF Wind series. Reliance LYF Wind 7S is the latest budget smartphone meant to be the platform for showcase of Jio's superior 4G connectivity like HD voice and video support.
Reliance LYF Wind 7S comes with a 5-inch 720p HD display and is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor. The device comes with 2GB and 16GB internal memory, which is further expandable up to 128GB. LYF Wind 7S houses a 2250mAh battery, which is rated to provide up to 180 hours of standby time.
On the camera front, LYF Wind 7S offers an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. The smartphone also sports a 5MP front camera. Reliance says its primary camera offers features like "Auto Frame Rate, Red Eye Reduction, Continuous Auto Focus, Video HDR supported in code, Smile Detection, Gaze detection, Blink Detection, Panorama", which will be subject to individual liking.
Reliance has been expanding its Jio 4G service primarily through its LYF-branded handsets. Like most other smartphones in the portfolio, Wind 7S' USP has to be the 4G VoLTE support, the trademark HD voice quality offered by Jio connection. At this point, we must note that Jio is struggling with delivering voice calls across platforms but Jio to Jio calls are holding up well.
LYF Wind 7S is a 8.7mm thick smartphone and it weighs 156 grams. The Dual-SIM smartphone is running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and Reliance is offering 1 year warranty and another 1 year extended warranty on the device.
