Redmi is launching the Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro 5G variants and the biggest difference from the existing Redmi Note 9, Note 9 Pro, and Note 9 Pro Max is the fact that the new smartphones sport 5G support. It is also speculated that the new Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will sport the new Samsung HM2 108MP sensor.
The design of the upcoming smartphone was shared by Redmi’s General Manager Lu Weibing. The render of the smartphone shared by Weibing shows the smartphone with a gradient finish with a circular housing for the quad-camera setup. This is the render of the Note 9 Pro and not the Note 9. The Note 9 is expected to house a triple camera instead of a quad-camera setup.
One of the biggest changes for the 5G phones will be the chipset the smartphones will house. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is expected to sport a Snapdragon 750G SoC while the Note 9 is expected to have the MediaTek Dimensity 800U. The smartphones are also expected to sport higher refresh rate displays.
It is suggested that the Redmi Note 9 5G will sport a 6.53-inch display and could be available in three RAM options – 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM with three corresponding storage options – 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is expected to house a 6.67-inch screen with 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM options along with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is expected to house a 4,720mAh battery.
As mentioned above, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is expected to sport a Snapdragon 750G SoC while the Note 9 is expected to have the MediaTek Dimensity 800U.
