Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 2 gets listed on an e-commerce website, to brings Helio X10 at a affordable price tag of $199.

After the launch of the Redmi 2 Prime recently and the “Make in India” campaign, Xiaomi might be gearing up to update its Redmi Note lineup. A Chinese e-commerce website has listed the Redmi Note 2 for $199 (Rs. 12,900 approx). According to the listing, the device will be running MIUI 7 out of the box. It is being speculated that the company might launch the new phone alongside its new, MIUI 7 on August 19.

As per the listing, the upcoming phone will be powered by a Mediatek MT6795 SoC. This SoC is more commonly known as the Helio X10, which was recently seen on the high-end. HTC One M9 Plus. The listing also suggests that the phone has a 5.5-inch Full HD display, which features a 2D curved glass. There's 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, support for a microSD card is a possibility, but it is not listed.

It also says that the Redmi Note 2 is carrying a 13MP camera at the back and a 5MP camera at the front. The phone is supposed to have a 3600mAh battery and dual-SIM support as well. The listing suggest that the phone will be able to support FDD LTE bands. Like we mentioned earlier, the device is listed to be running on MIUI 7 layered on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

A few days back it was reported that the same phone (Redmi Note 2) was listed internally on Mi’s own website. At that time, it had a different spec sheet and was apparently powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC and featuring lower price tag of CNY 799 (Rs. 8,100 approx). It was reported that the phone might feature a 13MP camera at the back and 5MP camera at the front.

The Redmi Note 2 is been in rumors lately since the company hasn't updated the phone in a long time now. Also, we have been hearing constant rumors of an imminent launch of the Xiaomi Mi5. The flagship phone from the company is much awaited, since its main rival, OnePlus has launched its next phone, the OnePlus 2. The OnePlus 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC and packs a fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port and a 4GB LPDDR4 RAM.
