The Redmi Note 14 series will succeed the Redmi Note 13 lineup. It can get some major upgrades, particularly in the camera and battery department. The company is yet to share an official launch date for the Redmi Note 14 series. However, Redmi General Manager Thomas Wang has started teasing the phone through posts on Weibo.

Ahead of the launch, some smartphone key specs will also surface online. A key addition to the lineup this year can be the IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. For comparison, last year’s Redmi Note 13 Pro+ had an IP68 rating, while the regular Pro and standard models were limited to IP54.

General Manager Wang took to Weibo to share that this was an industry-wide issue where phones with waterproof ratings could not be repaired if damaged by water. He suggested that Redmi is confident in the waterproof capabilities of the upcoming series. He even hinted at the possibility of offering a water-damage warranty.

In a separate post, Wang also confirmed that the Redmi Note 14 series will feature strong drop resistance and improved battery life. Also, a camera improvement is expected. So the Redmi Note 13 series featured up to 120W fast charging and a 200MP camera.

Now we should wait and see when the smartphone series drops and when it will land in India.
