Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date of the Redmi Note 12 Pro – the smartphone will hit the market on January 5, 2023. The teaser poster indicates that the smartphone will be equipped with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), which is claimed to be a segment-first. The launch will be a part of the brand’s Super12SeriesLaunch and the smartphone will be compatible with 5G networks.
Based on the Redmi Note 12 Pro launched in China, this smartphone is believed to have a 6.67-inch screen with a 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution. The display will have a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision and HDR10+. It may run on the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 (6 nm) SoC, and come in 4 variants with different RAM and memory combinations. These are 128GB + 6GB RAM, 128GB + 8GB RAM, 256GB + 8GB RAM and 256GB + 12GB RAM.
The camera module will include a triple camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor (with OIS), 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro lens. It will also have a 16MP front camera. It is also believed to come with a 5000 mAh battery capacity with support for 67W fast charging.
This smartphone may be priced at around ₹20,590.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has also been teased by the brand, with the launch date being January 5.
