An IMEI listing of the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G has surfaced, indicating that the smartphone’s launch is around the corner. According to the listing, the device’s codename is sweet_k6a_global. Back in October, a Xiaomi device with the name Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023 had been spotted in the IMEI database, with the model name 2209116AG. The model was also seen on other websites like Geekbench, Google Play Console, the EEC, the FCC and even SIRM. However, the same device has been seen on the database with a new name – the Redmi Note 12 Pro.
Reports indicate that the Redmi Note 12 Pro will be similar to the Redmi Note 10 Pro. As a result, we may find that the Redmi Note 12 Pro may look like other Note 12 models but may have software and features that are similar to the Redmi Note 10 Pro. One of the reasons why people believe this may be the case is because the Redmi Note 12 Pro’s code name is sweet_k6a_global, which is quite similar to the Redmi Note 10 Pro’s code, which is sweet_global.
There are plenty of speculations about the Redmi Note 12 Pro already, and, of course, none of these features are confirmed. It is believed that the Redmi Note 12 Pro will have a Snapdragon 732G processor. It may also offer 8GB of RAM. The smartphone is believed to run on the MIUI 13.
As many believe that the Redmi Note 12 Pro will be similar to the Redmi Note 10 Pro, a quick refresher of the latter’s features can help you understand what to expect from the upcoming model. Again, the idea of the two smartphones being similar is also a rumour, so the following information is largely speculative.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display. The smartphone has a 5,020mAh battery with 33W charging. It offers 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM along with 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage and has a 108MP quad camera setup. It also has a 16MP front camera.
