Redmi K20 confirmed to have 4000mAh battery, 960fps slow-mo video recording
Redmi K20 confirmed to come with 4000mAh battery.
It will feature a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor.
The device will launch on May 28 in China.
Redmi has been teasing its upcoming K20 smartphone for some time now. In the latest teasers, the Chinese tech company has revealed two key specifications of the phone. The first is that the handset will draw its power from a 4,000mAh battery, and secondly, it will come with the ability to shoot 960fps slow-mo videos. The battery capacity was teased in a poster, and the latter was confirmed in a video, which was posted by company General Manager Lu Weibing. Both the teasers were shared on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
The teaser poster shared via Redmi’s official handle on Weibo reads “wishing you a long 4000mAh battery” (translated directly using Google Translate app). This also confirms a previous report which claimed that the phone will have a ‘large 4000mAh battery’. What remains to be seen is the fast-charging support that the company will offer with the phone. Xiaomi’s flagship Mi 9 supports up to 27W fast charging.
Additionally, Weibing shared a 9-second video of phone’s slow-motion shooting capabilities. The video says that the phone’s camera will be able to record up to 960fps videos. Earlier this week, the executive confirmed that the upcoming Redmi K20 will have a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor. The same sensor can be found in the Xiaomi Mi 9, the OnePlus 7 Pro and the Oppo Reno 5G.
The upcoming Redmi K20 will launch on May 28 in China. It is expected to have the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 SoC, and it might come with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of built-in storage. It could be a gaming-centric device and is teased to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor. Reportedly, the phone will feature a 6.39-inch Full HD+ notchless display that could be protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
The photography responsibilities are expected to be handled by the triple rear camera setup. As mentioned, the triple camera will sport a 48MP main sensor and may feature an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 16MP telephoto camera. The phone is touted to come equipped with a pop-up front camera that houses a 20MP sensor. The phone is also said to come with NFC capabilities and retain the 3.5mm audio jack.
