According to a report by Gizmochina, Xiaomi is working on a new smartphone named Redmi A3x that will be launched in the Indian market.

The Redmi A3 shared similar specifications with its predecessor, the Redmi A2. Both smartphones were designed with basic functionality in mind, catering to users primarily focused on making calls and sending text messages.

Positioned as part of the Redmi A series, these devices prioritise everyday usability over high-performance features.

Through spotted internal sources, the report revealed that the Redmi A3x carries the model numbers “24048RN6CG” and “24048RN6CI“.

The initial digit “2404” in the model numbers signifies April 2024, suggesting that the smartphone could launch this month. Furthermore, the letters “G” and “I” at the end denote the targeted regions for distribution. This means that the Redmi A3x could be released in both the Global and Indian markets.

The Redmi A3 features a 6.71-inch display with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G36 processor.

For photography, the Redmi A3 features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Moreover, it packs a 5000 mAh battery with 10w charging support. It comes in three colours: Olive Green, Midnight Black, and Lake Blue.
