Redmi has launched a new budget smartphone in India, the Redmi A1 series. The series targets customers who want an affordable smartphone with a seamless experience. The Redmi A1+ is the second phone in the series and is available in three colors – Green, Blue, and Black. The phone's base model has 2GB RAM and 32GB storage and costs Rs 7,499. At the same time, the 3GB RAM variant with 32GB of internal storage costs Rs 8,499.
Redmi A1+ features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner on the back, which the standard model lacked. In addition, the phone has a 6.52-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and supports a standard refresh rate of 60Hz. It also has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a water-drop notch at the top for the front camera.
The smartphone has a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC processor and runs on Android 12 (Go Edition). It carries a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support. In addition, it offers storage expansion capabilities of up to 512GB via a microSD card. As for cameras, the device has a dual-camera setup on the back with an 8MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the front camera has an 8MP sensor.

As part of the Diwali sale, the 2GB variant is available for Rs. 6,999, and customers can buy the 3GB variant for Rs 7,999. The offer price is valid from October 17 till October 31 on Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, Flipkart, and retail partners.
