Xiaomi has launched a new budget smartphone in the Indian market. This is the Redmi 13C 5G, launched at a price of ₹10,999. Interestingly, this is one of the very few smartphones that comes with 5G connectivity around ₹10,000. Along with that, the Redmi 13C 5G also comes with a beautiful starry design that is inspired by star trails.
I am comparing the Redmi 13C 5G with the Lava Blaze 2 5G. The latter also falls under the sub-₹10K category and supports 5G connectivity. Let’s bring it on.
The Redmi 13C 5G is equipped with a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display that comes with an HD+ resolution. Further, the display supports up to 90Hz refresh rate.
The Lava Blaze 2 5G also shares the same display specifications except for its size. It features a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 13C 5G with a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor. This processor is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It runs on MIUI 14 skin based on Android 13 OS out of the box.
A MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor powers the Lava Blaze 2 5G. Furthermore, this smartphone boasts up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Additionally, the Blaze 2 5G operates on Android 13 OS as well.
For photography, the Redmi 13C 5G uses a 50-megapixel main camera and a VGA sensor on the back. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.
On the other hand, the Lava Blaze 2 5G also comes with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a VGA sensor. However, for selfies, it features an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

For battery as well, both smartphones share the same specifications. They are backed by a 5000mAh battery and supports up to 18-watt fast charging.
Xiaomi has rolled out the Redmi 13C 5G in the Indian market at a starting price of ₹10,999. Currently, it is available with a launch discount of ₹1000 on ICICI bank cards. It will be available for purchase on Amazon and Xiaomi’s official store starting from December 16.
Whereas, the Lava Blaze 2 5G launched at a starting price of ₹9,999. You can purchase this smartphone from Lava’s official store as well as from Amazon.
Now, why the Redmi 13C 5G comes with a slightly higher price than the Lava Blaze 2 5G? I think because of the bigger display size and a newer processor.
