Redmi 12 5G launch scheduled on August 1: Will get company’s biggest screen yet
Xiaomi has confirmed some specifications of the Redmi 12 5G in a teaser poster.
It could be the rebranded version of Redmi Note 12R.
Redmi Note 12R was launched with a 6.79-inch IPS LCD display.
Xiaomi is all set to land another budget smartphone in the global market, the Redmi 12 5G. The company has claimed that it will feature the biggest display found in Redmi smartphones yet. This new budget smartphone is launching with a 4G variant as well, Redmi 12 4G. Reports have also claimed that the 5G model of Redmi 12 series is the rebranded version of Redmi Note 12R which debuted exclusively in China.
Xiaomi has confirmed some specifications of the Redmi 12 5G in a teaser poster. The smartphone will come in Moonstone Silver colour with Rainbow Hues, which provides colourful glares. It is going to feature a Crystal Glass Design on the back.

Additionally, the Redmi 12 5G will offer up to 8GB RAM along with 8GB virtual RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. However it is also expected to launch with one more storage option; 6GB RAM 128GB storage. It will be backed by a 5000mAh battery and feature a 50-megapixel camera with ‘Film Filters’.
Since we know the reports are saying that the Redmi 12 5G could be the rebranded version of Redmi Note 12R. That means the specifications are the same but the name will be different. Let’s have a look at Redmi Note 12R’s specifications.

Redmi Note 12R was launched with a 6.79-inch IPS LCD display with support of up to 90Hz refresh rate. The display comes with a 1080 x 2460 pixels resolution. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and features a triple camera setup. On the back, a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel macro lens can be found, whereas a 5-megapixel sensor is featured on the front.
