The Realme X50 is said to be the company’s first 5G smartphone. While Realme is yet to reveal the release date of the smartphone, it has now announced what chipset the Realme X50 will have under the hood. There have already been a couple of leaks that have popped up online. Now, the company has teased that the Realme X50 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset.

The latest development comes from the company’s CMO Xu Qi Chase who took to Weibo to confirm that the X50 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC. The Snapdragon 765G comes with Snapdragon X52 5G modem integration, which offers download speeds of up to 1.2Gbps on 4G and 3.7Gbps on 5G. The teaser shared by Realme has a silhouette of the X50 5G, which shows a dual punch-hole screen clearly on the top left corner.

According to earlier rumours, Realme X50 will come with a 90Hz refresh rate, 6.44-inch AMOLED display. It could have 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone could also come with a quad rear camera setup, which includes a 60-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX686 sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter, and two 2-megapixel shooters (one for macro and one for portraits). As the teaser image shows, Realme X50 will have dual selfie shooters. It may include a 32-megapixel main shooter and an 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter.

The leaked spec sheet also showed another phone, dubbed Realme X50 Youth Edition, which looks to be an inferior version of the Realme X50. As of now, there is no word on the launch date of the smartphone. However, it is expected to launch in China soon. It is highly likely to make its way to India as well.
