Realme V5 5G has been officially teased as Realme’s upcoming smartphone lineup with a revamped design. The phone was officially revealed by Xu Qi, CMO at Realme on Weibo who posted a teaser giving us a glimpse at the rear panel of the upcoming smartphone. The Realme V5 was also spotted on TENAA and its listing gave away some of the key specifications.
Realme is introducing a new design language with the V5 which is essentially the brand’s logo slapped across the entirety of the rear panel, towards the bottom-right edge. Interestingly, Honor 30 series debuted with a similar design choice in April, earlier this year and Realme’s own Narzo 10A has the same design as well. The glass on the back comes with an AG matte finish, something that OnePlus phones are known to use.
The upcoming phone is shown to come with a multiple camera array on the back, housed in a vertical setup and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera on the front. Let’s take a look at the leaked specifications of the Realme V5.
Realme V5 features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone weighs 194 grams and has a maximum thickness of 9.1 millimetres. The phone is rumoured to come with 4,900mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
Based on the listing, the Realme V5 could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 or Dimensity 720 chipset paired with upto 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone is expected to come with a 48MP primary camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and two 2MP cameras, likely a depth sensor and a macro camera. On the front, there could be a 16MP selfie camera. The fingerprint reader is side-mounted for faster unlock speeds.
The Realme V5 is expected to launch in India and we should hear more about the phone in the coming weeks.
