The rumoured Realme GT Neo 6 was expected to launch soon in China. Turns out the smartphone has been named Realme GT 5. A confirmation that came directly from the brand itself. The "Realme GT 5" was spotted by WhyLab at the brand's booth during ChinaJoy 2023, which confirmed the name. And a known tipster, Mukul sharma, has also tweeted a post of Realme GT 5, which the brand had posted on Weibo. In addition to that, there are rumours about another model in the GT 5 series, the Realme GT 5 Pro.
While the Realme GT 5 is all set to debut in China in August, the GT 5 Pro is rumoured to launch either towards the end of the year or in the first quarter of 2024. Now let's take a closer look at what the Realme GT 5 series has to offer its buyers.

The Realme GT 5 could be equipped with a 6.74-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It will run on Android 13 with Realme UI 4.0 on top.
Talking about the camera, a 16-megapixel front camera will reportedly be featured in the device, while the rear camera setup will include a Sony IMX890 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
The Realme GT 5 is expected to be backed with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will offer up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It might launch with two various battery variants. The phone's 4,600mAh battery variant could support 240-watt fast charging, while the 5,200mAh battery variant will offer 150-watt fast charging.
MySmartPrice in collaboration with OnLeaks leaked the expected design of the Realme GT 5. It reveals a rectangular camera module which could feature a triple camera setup.

However, the Realme GT 5 Pro is expected to launch with a better SoC, guessing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Additionally, it is more likely to become Realme's first phone featuring a periscope zoom camera.
