In October, we reported that an India-bound Realme smartphone, Realme 5s, had been certified. Now, according to the latest development, the Realme 5s has been confirmed and it is all set to launch in India alongside the Realme X2 Pro on November 20. A new microsite is live on Flipkart for the Realme 5s. It suggests that the handset will sport a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor.
Realme 5s is supposed to be a slightly upgraded version of the Realme 5, which was launched earlier this year. It has already received the mandatory BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification in India and the NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) certification in Thailand, indicating that the handset could launch in the two countries soon.
The Realme 5s is said to feature a 6.5-inch HD+ (720×1600 pixels) display. It could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM. The smartphone is confirmed to sport a 48MP quad rear camera setup. However, the exact specifications of the other three sensors remains a mystery, for now. Further, the Realme 5s could come equipped with a 13MP selfie shooter. It may pack a 5000mAh battery as well.
Alongside the Realme 5s and Realme X2 Pro, the company could launch a fitness band on November 20. The development comes from the eleventh episode of Realme’s ‘#AskMadhav’ video series, as company CEO Madhav Sheth is seen saying, “I can just give you a hint: if you’re a fitness enthusiast, time to get fitter, guys.”
Realme X2 Pro comes equipped with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset. The base variant of the smartphone is equipped with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The handset sports a 64MP quad rear camera setup. It packs a 4000mAh lithium-ion polymer battery with support for 50W SuperVOOC Flash Charge, which is said to fully charge the phone up in 35 minutes.
