There are five variants of the phone, namely V-1.8, V-Emerge, V-Encore, and V-Eternal, which are priced between Rs. 849 and Rs. 12,999. The unique selling point of the phones is the ‘V-Assist’ feature. It offers buyers a 24×7 concierge service, that provides users with the best deals on products and services. Currently, V-Assist offers services in the field of travel, shopping, entertainment, gifting, and utilities. The services are currently available in English and Hindi, and can be accessed via a phone call. Devices will be manufactured in China, and marketed through Best Deal TV, digital online marketing, and in-film branding.

The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. At the back is an 8MP camera, while at the front is a 5MP camera. It also comes with 16GB of RAM, and a 2780mAh battery. The device runs Android Kitkat v4.4 with a FOTA update to Android Lollipop v5.1. The V-Eternal has a Black variant, which is slightly cheaper. The cheapest device, the V-1.8, is a feature phone with a 1.8-inch QQVGA display and a VGA camera. The storage of the phone can be expanded to 8GB.
Kundra said, “For us in India, the choice was mass or class and we decided with Viaan to bring the class to the mass.” He added, “Resonating with the brand name Viaan, meaning full of life and energy, we hope to provide consumers with smartphones that not only help them connect with loved ones but also take complete care of their needs.” The company aims to sell two to three lac handsets a month, and generate revenues of Rs. 300 crore in the financial year ending March 2016.
