The specification of Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 835, as well as the Snapdragon 660 have been leaked. As per a report by Anzhuo, the Snapdragon 835 will have the model number MSM 8998 and will sport an octa-core configuration consisting of Kyro 200 cores. However, the clock speeds of the cors are not known. The leak also suggests that the SoC may sport Adreno 540 GPU, and offer support for UFS 2.1 storage. A few days ago, Qualcomm and Samsung confirmed the name of the upcoming chipset as well as the fact that it would be manufactured using Samsung’s 10nm FinFET process. The company also revealed that it would support Quick Charge 4 and would be available in the devices in the first half of 2017.
The Snapdragon 660 is tipped have the model name MSM 8976 Plus and have an octa-core configuration consisting of Kryo cores. Four cores are tipped to have a clock speed of 2.2GHz, while the other four are clocked at 1.6GHz. It is also expected to sport an Adreno 512 GPU and may be manufactured using a 14nm process. The leak suggests that the Snapdragon 660 will be available in Q2 2017.
