Police mission to recover stolen phone leads to Xperia C5 Ultra leak
After recovering a Sony Xperia C5 Ultra stolen from Anatel, Sao Paulo PD leaks image of the phone before release
Police forces across the world are often known to achieve marvellous feats at abetting crimes. But seldom have they leaked out photographs of a cellphone that is yet to be officially announced by the company. Beating all tech enthusiasts and leak specialists, the Sao Paulo Police Department successfully leaked a proper photograph of the upcoming Sony Xperia C5 Ultra.
The bizarre turn of events happened after the theft was reported by Anatel, the Brazilian certification agency, and put up for auction online, and the Sao Paulo PD succeeded in recovering the device. After recovering it, the police department published a press report regarding the recovery of the stolen phone, along with a press photograph of the phone.
The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra was previously rumoured to feature a 5.5” Full HD bezel-less display, and now the photo has confirmed it. Additionally, the phone has also been rumoured to feature a MediaTek MT6752 octa-core SoC, 2GB of RAM and 13-megapixel cameras on the front and back. Both the cameras have been stated to have an LED flash alongside.
With the inadvertent leak practically confirming the phone in certification stage, Sony can be expected to announce the handset soon. Here’s to good policing!
