Poco M4 Pro will be the company’s first launch of 2022 in India.
Poco M4 Pro may come with Dimensity 810 chipset, a 90Hz FHD+ screen, a 50MP-led rear camera setup, and a 5000mAh battery bolstered by 33W charging.
Poco M4 Pro 5G might ship with MIUI 13 out of the box.
Poco India has started teasing the launch of a new smartphone in India, sprinkled with hints involving the number 4. And it is expected that the teasers are hinting at an imminent launch of the Poco M4 Pro in the country. The device debuted globally last year, but it is only now that it seems to be making its way to India. Well, if it is the said device, then the online chatter around it suggests this could be the same phone as the global Poco M4 Pro variant. And if that’s so, then we know what to expect out of this device. As mentioned in the highlights, this phone could come with the Dimensity 810 chipset, a 90Hz FHD+ screen, a 50MP-led rear camera setup, and a 5000mAh battery bolstered by 33W charging.
Let’s first watch the teaser clips to taste the beans the brand has spilt for us.

Poco M4 Pro specifications and features
The first tweet brags the phone’s supposedly lag-free performance thanks to the processing power inside. Well, although not mentioned or revealed in the short 5-sec video, this is expected to be MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip. The reason for this belief is that it is the same silicon found within the global variant of the Poco M4 Pro.

Next up we get a glimpse of the phone’s display that has got a punch-hole cutout. The Poco M4 Pro that’s out elsewhere sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate support, 450nits of typical brightness, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The punch hole might house a 16MP selfie clicker. In the tweet that followed, Poco showed the rear camera island, which if is the same as the Global model, will seat a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP 119° ultrawide snapper. You may get support for 1080P video recording at 60FPS from the back and 30FPS from the front.

The ensuing tweet, which also happens to be the last of the list, gives us a sneak peek at the phone’s camera panel as well as a side profile, including its volume rocker and power key on the right-hand side. Now the power button could also substitute for a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
As for the rest of the specs, the Poco M4 Pro could also ship with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W charging, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, microSD card expansion, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS with A-GPS, LPDDR4x RAM + UFS 2.2 storage. Now, the memory configuration of the Poco M4 Pro India unit might differ from the global ones. Also, the software may be another thing that changes. Even if it had launched with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11, the Indian edition of the Poco M4 Pro may ship with the upgraded MIUI 13 software experience. Let’s see if we get any clues from the brand in form of the aforementioned teasers.
