On May 9, the Poco F5 5G series is expected to go on sale worldwide. The Poco F5 5G and the Poco F5 Pro 5G model are part of the series. On the same day, the Poco F5 5G series' entry-level model, which is anticipated to supplant the Poco F4 5G, will also go on sale in India.
Poco has been hinting at some of the smartphone's primary features and aesthetics before the debut. The Poco F5 5G India variant's colour selections and other important features have now been officially announced.
Himanshu Tandon, the head of Poco India, reportedly revealed the India-specific Poco F5 5G smartphone, which will be on sale on May 9 at 5:30 PM IST. The vanilla variant of the model will be available with 8GB RAM and 256GB memory. Snapdragon recently announced the new 4nm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 5G chipset which will be powering the upcoming Poco F5 5G, claimed by Tandon. The smartphone will sport narrow bezels, with a hole-punch slot in the centre that will flaunt the front camera on the topmost surface of the screen.
Tandon also mentioned that the device has an AnTuTu score of nearly a million and the display panel of the device is suggested to be the most efficient with a 93 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
A turbine-like design can be observed on the back of the phone where the text written on the camera module suggests that the set of triple rear cameras on the Poco F5 5G India variant are projected to flaunt a 64-megapixel main sensor.

The Poco F5 5G is expected to include a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, according to past rumours. With an Adreno 725 GPU, the forthcoming Snapdragon 7 series SoC could run Android 13 alongside MIUI 14 on top.
An 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide angle lens plus a 2-megapixel sensor featuring a macro lens is probably going to be added to the Poco F5 5G's primary rear camera. A 16-megapixel sensor might be used with the front camera. The phone, which is anticipated to be a Redmi K60 rebrand, is anticipated to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging capabilities.
