The Poco F1 is now receiving the update to MIUI 10 version 2.2.0 via OTA. The update finally out of beta is now rolling out to users in India. The new version introduces new features and makes bug fixes. Notable new features include 960 fps slow-motion video recording alongside 120fps and 240fps slo-mo videos. The update also brings enhanced low-light mode to improve photos taken in the dark.

The low-light mode takes eight images in different exposures and merges them into one for a brighter, more sharp shot. The feature was in testing since last month. The 960fps slo-mo video recording is not done in the same way the Samsung Galaxy S9 does. Instead, Poco uses software interpolation and the results may not be the same.

Poco India’s General Manager C Manmohan revealed the feature will roll out last week through his official Twitter account. The update has the build number V10.2.2.0PEJMIXM and it’s 311MB in size. The update comes a month after the Poco F1 received the update to Android 9 Pie.

The company’s global head Alvin Tse said the update should reach all Poco F1 users in the new few days and that it will have the latest Android security patch. Further, the update brings fixes to the battery drain and touch issues.
