POCO F1 gets Rs 2,000 off on exchange as first anniversary offer
The POCO F1 is celebrating its first anniversary.
It gets a Rs 2,000 exchange offer on all variants.
Celebrating a full year in the market this August, the POCO F1 smartphone sees an interesting exchange offer on all its variants. According to a tweet sent by POCO India earlier today, POCO F1 customers can get Rs 2,000 off on the exchange of their smartphone. The offer, whose validity and exchange terms were not specified by POCO India in the tweet, is applicable for purchases through mi.com, Flipkart, and Amazon India. The POCO F1 smartphone starts at Rs 17,999.
The POCO F1 smartphone has been around in the market for a year now and is currently celebrating its “POCOversary”. When it was launched in August last year at Rs 20,999, it was the cheapest smartphone to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Qualcomm's flagship chipset has since been succeeded by the Snapdragon 855, which currently does duty on the OnePlus 7 Pro, among other devices. You can read our review of the POCO F1 here.
The POCO F1 comes with a 6.18-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels. RAM + Storage combinations include 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. The device comes with a dual camera setup on the back: a 12MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.9 and a 5MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. The selfie camera is a single 20MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. The POCO F1 is powered by a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
Since its launch, the POCO F1 has often been criticised for not supporting the Widevine L1 DRM certification, which allows users to stream HD content through over-the-top media services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc. The phone eventually got the certification through an over-the-air update. You can read more about that here. On Flipkart, the base variant of the POCO F1 with 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage currently sells for Rs 17,999.
