Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new affordable smartphone known as the POCO C55, according to a known tipster, Kacper Skrzypek. The smartphone will be the latest offering from the brand in the entry-level segment and will join the likes of other affordable models within the C series.
It is believed that the POCO C55 will be an affordable entry-level phone due to the letter C in its name. There have been plenty of C series smartphones that have been released without a fingerprint sensor and with low storage options. The upcoming POCO C55, on the other hand, is believed to offer a fingerprint sensor on the back. This smartphone has 64 GB and 128 GB storage options. This would make it an entry-level smartphone that offers good basic features that won’t make consumers feel as though they are missing out quite a bit.
It is believed that the POCO C55 will have a 6.71-inch IPS display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It will run on the Helio G85 chipset and offer a 5000 mAh battery with 10W fast charging. The smartphone may have a 50 MP primary camera along with a 5 MP selfie camera. It will be available in two variants – 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 128 GB storage.
The Redmi 12C has been rebranded as the POCO C55 and will be seeing a global launch. The features are, therefore, likely to be quite similar. It is believed that the POCO C55 will be priced at around $100 which is ₹8,172.
