The new generation of flagship smartphones have already started hitting the Indian market, with promises of enhanced camera, design, and performance. Among the first to launch is the Realme GT 7 Pro, powered by India’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, positioning itself as the strong contender in the premium smartphone segment. It is an extremely powerful phone which brings significant gains over the previous generation Snapdragon phones.
It performed really well in our benchmark tests with solid scores on both AnTuTu and Geekbench. Yet, we believe you might be making a mistake by buying this phone. Why? The answer is more complicated than what you may think. Let us explain.
The newly launched iQOO 13 comes packed with a 50 MP triple-camera setup, a 144Hz QHD+ display, a 6,000 mAh battery, and faster 120W charging, clearly outshines the Realme GT 7 Pro. The best part? iQOO 13 is priced lower than Realme GT 7 Pro and will be available at Rs 51,999 (effective price) compared to Rs 56,999. It will be available for pre-booking starting December 5 and will go on sale starting December 10.
The Vivo X200 series will make its debut in the Indian market on December 12 which is yet another reason to wait. It’s anticipated that the X200 and X200 Pro will both have notable camera improvements. The Vivo X200 Pro may launch with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, a larger battery, and a 200MP telephoto camera. Speaking of the price, the Vivo X200 series is expected to launch under the Rs 70,000 segment.
The OnePlus 13 will also make its global debut next month, with advanced features. While no specific details about the smartphone are available, it is expected to launch with a Snapdragon 8 Elite, 24GB RAM, a larger 6,000 mAh battery, and a 50 MP triple camera with a telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The OnePlus 13, like the Vivo X200 Pro, is expected to cost less than Rs 70,000.
All of these options mentioned above are either better or promise to offer a better experience over the Realme GT 7 Pro. While the latter is a good phone in its own right, you should compare it against other options before taking the final decision.
