Xiaomi might be preparing a phone with no physical buttons.

Xiaomi might use a combination of gesture controls, pressure-sensitive edges, or even voice commands to replace traditional buttons.

The button-less phone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 processor.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve often wondered what the future of smartphones would look like—sleeker, more minimalist, and packed with high tech. Well, Xiaomi might be taking us one step closer to that vision. A new leak suggests that Xiaomi is preparing to launch a phone next year that could ditch physical buttons altogether.

Xiaomi isn’t just following trends in the smartphone market—they’re setting them. According to leaker chunvn8888, the device, codenamed “Zhuque,” is in the early stages of development, reports SmartPrix. This could be a major step forward in smartphone design.

So, what makes Zhuque so special? The most striking feature is its potential to be a true all-screen phone, without any physical buttons. Xiaomi might use a combination of gesture controls, pressure-sensitive edges, or even voice commands to replace traditional buttons. If Xiaomi can pull this off, it could set a new standard in smartphone design.

Another exciting feature that might be in the works is an under-display selfie camera. This technology has been a dream for smartphone designers, with previous attempts from companies like Samsung. However, if Xiaomi integrates this tech into an all-screen phone, it could take the design to the next level, offering a seamless display experience.

Under the hood, Zhuque is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 processor, which is also likely to be used in Xiaomi’s 15S Pro, expected in the second quarter of 2025. While details about this new processor are still under wraps, it’s anticipated to bring significant performance improvements.

While the specifics of the display, battery, or camera details are not yet known, this leak provides a glimpse into Xiaomi’s ambitious plans to shake up the smartphone market. With the project still in its early stages, things could change, but there’s a chance that this button-less phone might make its debut in the first half of 2025.

Alongside Zhuque, Xiaomi is also reportedly working on its own mobile processor and even a tri-fold phone, which could hit the market early next year.
