Philips has launched two new Android 4.2 Jelly Bean-based smartphones I928 and S388 in India. The smartphones have been listed on the official Philips India website at Rs 38,538 and Rs 13,694 respectively.
The Philips I928 has a 6-inch 1080p display with 2.5D curved glass screen. It has a narrow bezel around the screen and a leather like back cover. The smartphone has a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor with 2 GB of RAM and runs Android 4.2. It has a 13 MP primary camera with LED flash and FHD 1080p video recording as well as 5 MP front snapper. It has 16 GB of internal storage expandable via micro SD card slot. Connectivity options included are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and dual SIM functionality. The smartphone packs a 3,000 mAh battery.
Philips S388 has a 4.5 inch qHD IPS display wit 960 × 540 pixels resolution. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has a 1.3 Ghz quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. It has 4 GB of internal storage. The S388 has a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. The smartphone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and dual SIM connectivity. It is backed by a 1,700 mAh battery. Both the smartphones are available in Black color variant only.
Philips re-entered the Indian market in India in May with Philips S308, W3500 and W6610 smartphones. All three smartphones run on Android 4.2 and support dual-SIM functionality. The smartphones are priced at Rs 8390, Rs 16,195 and Rs. 20,650 respectively.
