Oppo’s HyperTone camera promises “high-quality images”: Might compete with Apple and Samsung
Oppo and Hasselblad did not focus just on the cameras but on displays and software as well.
There won't be just quality improvement but also image enhancement.
It will allow you to take pictures at high quality during the day and even at night.
Oppo has announced the HyperTone camera system at its annual photography forum keynote. This new camera system is said to capture “high-quality pictures” even at night. For this new technology, Oppo has partnered with Hasselblad once again to make the HyperTone camera system. The Oppo Find X7 is expected to be the first smartphone to feature the HyperTone camera system. Let’s find out more about it.
What is Oppo HyperTone?
In the HyperTone camera system, Oppo and Hasselblad did not just focus on the cameras but on displays and software as well. Oppo has mentioned that it would be a complete “Aesthetics”. This means, there won’t be just quality enhancement but also image enhancement. The HyperTone camera system will include three components, which are cameras for image quality, software for image enhancement, and display for better output.

Speaking of the cameras, they will allow you to take pictures at high quality during the day and even at night. Many smartphones still have to improve night photography including the iPhones. However, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra captures good pictures in low light, now let’s see whether the upcoming Find X7 series can beat that or not.
Furthermore, the HyperTone will use software for special algorithms to reduce visual imperfections. This will require a lot more computer power but will result in good quality, making the picture clearer by 30 percent. It could also use AI for the colours.

Along with the cameras and software, it will also bring a ProXDR display that will clock a brightness of 12 million pixels.
Moreover, the Hasselblad tuning will also bring many colourful filters and exciting photography modes like Hasselblad Portrait Mode. The camera app is also said to reduce the face smoothening too much.
The HyperTone camera system is expected to be a game-changer in smartphone photography. However, we can’t decide that until it actually rolls out in a smartphone. So stay tuned for more updates.
