Oppo launched the Oppo Reno2 series in India on August 28, and today, on September 6, the Oppo Reno2 Z has gone on sale as well. The smartphone is up for grabs on the Amazon India website and Flipkart. It will also be available through offline retailers starting today. The highlight of the Oppo Reno2 Z is its triple rear camera setup. However, it does not feature the signature Oppo Reno shark fin-style pop-up camera module, instead, it has a generic pop-up selfie camera.
The Oppo Reno2 Z features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) panoramic display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio P90 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 charging.
On the optics front, the Oppo Reno2 Z sports a quad rear camera setup: a 48MPIMX586 sensor, assisted by a 119-degree 8MP sensor, and a pair of 2MP sensors for Portrait Mode 2.0. The rear cameras supports 2x optical zoom, ultra-steady video mode for up to 60fps frame rate, EIS for stabilisation, and an “Ultra Night Mode” for low-light photography. As mentioned above, the smartphone ditches the a shark fin-style rising module, and features a centrally aligned pop-up camera module instead, which houses a 16MP front camera.
The Oppo Reno2 Z runs ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9 Pie. Additionally, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Oppo Reno2 Z is priced at Rs 29,990 for the lone 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. It is available in two colour options, namely, Sky White and Luminous Black.
