Oppo Reno, Oppo Reno 10X Zoom and Oppo Reno 5G launched in Europe.

The 5G variant is based on the on the 10X Zoom variant.

It will reportedly launch in May - a month ahead of the 4G model.

After launching them in China earlier this month, Oppo has now unveiled its Reno series of smartphones in Europe. The series consists of a standard Oppo Reno device, Reno 10X Zoom and a 5G variant. The 5G variant is based on the 10X Zoom variant and will reportedly launch in May – a month ahead of the 4G 10X Zoom variant. The Chinese tech giant has also announced that the Reno 10x zoom and Reno 5G will enjoy International Warranty Service, which means that you can get the phone repaired in any country where the company has an authorised service center.

Oppo has partnered with Swisscom (Switzerland), EE (UK), SingTel (Singapore), Telstra and Optus (Australia) to launch globally. The Reno 5G might be the first 5G phone to be available in Europe. The Reno will start at 500 Euros (approx Rs 39,000), and will be available on May 10 in France, The Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Poland. The Oppo Reno 5G is reportedly priced at 900 Euros (approx Rs 70,000) and launch in May, and the 4G Oppo Reno 10x zoom version is said to come in early June at a price of 800 Euros (approx Rs 62,500).

Oppo Reno 10x Zoom specifications:

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom sports a Gorilla Glass 6 protected Full HD+ 6.65-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. Since there is no notch, the display is claimed to deliver 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. Oppo says that the display is HDR 10+ compliant, and the phone comes with a sixth-generation in-screen fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the phone has the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, along with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The USP of the device is its triple camera setup that features a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with a lens having f/1.7 aperture and OIS, an 8MP secondary sensor with a lens having f/2.2 aperture, and a periscope telescopic lens with 13MP sensor. A dual-LED flash and laser autofocus tech completes the camera module. For selfies, the phone comes with a shark fin-type pop-up module that houses a 16MP sensor with a lens having f/2.0 aperture, and an LED flash.

The phone houses a 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. It runs Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6 and has an AI-powered Breeno virtual assistant. For an optimised gaming experience, the Oppo 10x Zoom comes with Game Boost 2.0 acceleration engine, Dolby Atmos support, and a copper tube liquid cooling tech for heat dissipation. The 5G variant will have the X50 modem with the Snapdragon 855 processor and the rest of the specs remain the same.

Oppo Reno Standard Edition Specifications:

The standard Oppo Reno sports a smaller 6.4-inch full HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Just like the flagship variant, the phone also comes with an in-display fingerprint reader and the panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 6. Under the hood, the standard edition is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, along with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.  The Oppo Reno features a dual camera system with 48MP and a 5MP sensors on the back, and the front camera is housed in the shark fin-type 16MP pop-up selfie camera with an LED flash. The handset includes a 3,765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging. It runs ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie.
