Oppo R5s launched: 4.85mm thick, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage

The Oppo R5s is an upgrade to the Oppo R5 and features increased RAM and internal storage. It's priced at EUR 199, which is about Rs. 15,338.

Oppo has launched an upgraded varient of the Oppo R5, called the the Oppo R5s. The R5s is only 4.85mm thick and has 3GB RAM, which is a jump from the 2GB of RAM that was available in the R5. In addition to this, the new smartphone also doubles the internal storage of the R5 by offering 32GB of internal storage. 

The rest of the specs of the R5s is pretty much the same as that of the R5. The Oppo R5s sports a 5.2-inch FHD AMOLED display, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz,  13MP rear shooter with Sony Exmor IMX214 BSI sensor and LED flash, 5MP front shooter, 2000mAh battery with VOOC flash charge, and runs on Oppo’s own ColorOS 2.0.0i that layed on top of Android KitKat. For connectivity, the smartphone supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, and USB OTG.

You might have noticed, the Oppo R5s comes with VOOC flash charge. This is a fast charging technology that's developed by Oppo and is claimed to charge certain Oppo phones from 0% to 75% in 30 minutes. The Oppo R5s is priced for EUR 199 (approx. Rs. 15,338) on European stores that makes it quite affordable as compared to the Oppo R5 that was priced at Rs. 29,990, making it expensive for what it had offer.
