Oppo may launch the F11 and F11 Pro as well as R17 Neo smartphones in India soon, a media report has said, without confirming a specific release timeframe. Mysmartprice reported that the Oppo F11 and F11 Pro smartphones may feature triple rear cameras with 10x optical zoom technology, which has been a talking point lately. The specifications of these smartphone remain a mystery at this time.
If true, these could be the first devices to sport the 10x optical zoom technology. Previously, it was reported that the Oppo F19 and the Oppo F19 Pro may have this technology. In the 10x Hybrid optical zoom technology, Oppo uses a series of lenses to focus light on to the sensor. While the traditional sensor receives light just like any other smartphone camera, the pivoted sensor redirects light like a prism. The tech uses the width of the phone to get the zoom.
Last week, the Oppo F11 Pro, a mid-range smartphone with model number CPH1969, was certified by the NBTC certification agency in Thailand, a report said, adding that the CPH1969 was also reported to be certified by Indonesia’s TKDN agency alongside the CPH1909 a few days back. Meanwhile, the Oppo R17 Neo had already made its debut in Japan in October last year with mi-segment hardware.
The Oppo R17 Neo features a 6.41-inch Full HD+ AMOLED on-cell display offering a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor manufactured by a 14nm process. The processor is complemented by an Adreno 512 GPU. The R17 Neo comes in a single variant, that is, 4GB RAM and 128GB local storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256GB via a memory card.
In the camera department, the smartphone features an AI-powered rear dual camera setup with a 16MP sensor and a 2MP lens. On the front, there is 25MP AI selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The phone draws power from a 3600mAh capacity non-removable battery. In Japan, the phone was launched for JPY 38,988 in Japan, which translates to Rs 25,500 approximately. There is no confirmation on the price of the device in India.
