Oppo Find X8 Mini to launch soon, OnePlus can also bring a compact phone with Snapdragon 8 Elite
A recent leak by Digital Chat Station revealed that OnePlus is working on a compact device.
This phone is expected to feature a 6.31-inch flat OLED screen.
On the other hand, word on the street is that Oppo will introduce a “Mini” to its flagship Find X8 lineup.
Android smartphone makers are now racing to bring more compact phones to the market. This time it seems OnePlus and Oppo are working to bring out smaller yet powerful smartphones for their lineups. A recent leak from Digital Chat Station revealed that OnePlus is working on a compact device that will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It will rival leading Android flagships.
This smartphone can possibly join the OnePlus Ace lineup and can debut as the Ace 5 Pro. However, other rumours suggest that it could also be part of the OnePlus numbered series, like the OnePlus 13.
OnePlus is also set to launch the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro next month, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Elite chipsets, respectively.
The upcoming OnePlus compact phone is expected to feature a 6.31-inch flat OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution.
Oppo Find X8 Mini
On the other hand, word on the street is that Oppo will introduce a “Mini” to its flagship Find X8 lineup. It can be powered by the Dimensity 9400 chipset. It is also expected to drop soon and can compete with the likes of Vivo X200 Pro Mini.
While both brands share BBK Electronics as their parent company, leaks suggest the devices will target different audiences. They will have distinct designs and specifications to minimise internal competition.
But apart from this, we don’t know much about the compact phones from either of the brands. Only time will tell how things pan out and which company brings out their compact phone first. I really enjoy using Mini phones, and I am excited about the choice that we’re going to get with Android. For now, Pixel has the lead with its compact phones when it comes to Android.
