Oppo is going to unveil its flagship Find X5 series soon. The event is set to take place on February 24 at 6 AM ET (4:30 PM IST). The company has confirmed that we will be seeing Find X5 and Find X5 Pro debut. The latter could come in both Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 editions. Not just that, we also know that at least the Snapdragon variant will be helming an in-house made NPU called MariSilicon X. This will be aiding the 50MP main camera on the phone. Let’s understand what this could mean and all the other things we know about the Find X5 phones.
We have mainly come across Find X5 Pro leaks and those suggest the device could flaunt a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO 2.0 screen with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The front camera could be a 32MP IMX709 sensor. By the back, you will be getting a Hasselblad tuned triple camera setup. The incumbents of this mesa are said to be a 50MP main sensor, another 50MP ultrawide shooter, and a 13MP lens (possibly telephoto).
The Pro phone may ship with Android 12 based ColorOS 12, a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging, among various other things. Two of those things will be the underlying chipset and the proprietary MariSilicon X NPU. In a recent post from the company we learn that the Find X5 Pro could come in both Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variants. The former may be exclusive to China.
Next, let's know what's this MariSilicon X. Well, for the unversed, this is a 6nm processor with an ISP (Image Signal Processor) and dedicated memory. Oppo claims this could offer fast picture processing, better HDR (dynamic range) with improved details, colours, and lesser noise.
Now, we don’t know much about the regular Find X5 at the moment.
Also, there’s another phone by the name Oppo Find X5 Lite in the rumour pile. It might tag along with the other two. The rumour mill tells that it could be a rebadged Oppo Reno 7. Let’s see.
