Oppo has confirmed to launch an Oppo Find X successor soon. It is expected to launch the Oppo Find X2 in the upcoming months. However, important details like display resolution, screen size and more regarding the device have surfaced online. While we are still short on details about the handset, it was earlier rumoured to come equipped with an under-display camera but the rumour was officially denied.
The latest information comes from Weibo. Oppo Find X2 is said to feature a 6.5-inch curved OLED display with 3168 x 1440 pixel resolution. Further, it is tipped to come with 120Hz display refresh rate. It is said that the handset will enable users to select FHD+ resolution with 120Hz refresh rate or QHD+ resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate. For reference, a recent rumour suggested that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 series will not allow users to set 120Hz at QHD+ resolution.
As for other specifications, Oppo Find X2 is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. It may also sport an “omnidirectional” autofocus – the successor to Dual Pixel AF – camera image sensor. Moreover, some rumours state that Oppo Find X2 battery may support 50W wireless charging tech.
For reference, Oppo Find X launched in India in July 2018 at Rs 59,990. It features a unique motorised pop-up camera embedded in the top panel. The smartphone consists of a 6.4-inch Ultra FullView OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset. The handset features a 16MP + 20MP dual rear camera setup and a 25MP selfie shooter.
