The Oppo Find X2 series is set to launch today in India at 4 PM IST. The series includes the Find X2 and the Find X2 Pro and both smartphones are powered by the flagship Snapdragon 865 with support for 5G connectivity. These are top of the line phones from Oppo and were previously announced for European markets in March.
The Find X2 and Find X2 Pro launch event will be online-only, which is the new normal in the post-COVID 19 world. The event is set to begin at 4 PM today and will be live-streamed on YouTube through the Oppo Mobile India channel, and on its social handles.
The Find X2 Pro features a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with HDR10+ certification and runs on the Snapdragon 865 with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.0 storage. It runs on ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10. The phone packs a 4,260mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
The phone rocks a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary camera, another 48MP ultrawide lens and a 13MP periscope telephoto lens that offers 5X optical zoom and 60X hybrid zoom. There’s also a 32MP camera drilled into the display for selfies.
The Oppo Find X2 shares a lot of features with the Pro variant. It has the same 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, and the Snapdragon 865 under the hood along with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. The storage is slightly lesser at 256GB UFS 3.0. The Find X2 runs on a 4,200mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
The camera stack is also a little different. There’s a 48MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 13MP telephoto lens with 3x hybrid zoom. The same 32MP front camera is retained.
Both phones are already listed on Amazon India and, according to a report, the Find X2 is expected to be priced between Rs 60,000 to Rs 65,000 for the 12GB+256GB variant. In Europe, the Oppo Find X2 is priced at EUR 999 (roughly Rs 83,400) for the 12GB+256GB variant while the Find X2 Pro with 12GB+512GB is priced EUR 1,199 (roughly Rs 1,00,000). Going by recent trends, Indian pricing is usually less than other western markets.
