Oppo has added another selfie-centric smartphone to its product lineup in India. After teasing the smartphone for a while, Oppo F3 Plus is now official at Rs 30,990. The smartphone is available for pre-orders starting today in Black and Gold colour options. The smartphone will be available from April 1 from Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal and other offline vendors. The company also shared that it will launch Oppo F3 in May.
The highlight of the Oppo F3 Plus are the dual-front cameras consisting of 16MP and 8MP sensors, with the latter sporting a wide-angle lens for group selfies. The primary 16MP front camera offers standard field of view and has f/2.0 aperture lens, while the secondary 8MP sensor sports a 120-degree wide-angle lens. The company says this 8MP sensor is primarily for group selfies with 105-degree field of view. The implementation is similar to LG's rear camera setup on its flagship smartphones. Oppo F3 Plus borrows the rear camera setup from company's China-only R9s smartphone. The 16MP rear camera uses a Sony IMX398 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and uses dual phasedetection autofocus and dual-tone LED flash.
Oppo F3 Plus sports a design similar to the Oppo F1 Plus, but sports a new "six string" antenna design. The device sports a large 6-inch full HD display and powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 653 processor with 4GB RAM. It offers 64GB of onboard storage. The smartphone comes with 4000mAh battery and runs ColorOS 3.0, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Oppo F3 Plus joins the Gionee A1 and the Vivo V5 Plus as the latest selfie-centric smartphone in the Indian market. It supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and uses a microUSB slot for charging. The smartphone weighs 185 grams and supports company's VOOC flash charging technology, capable of delivering 2 hours talk time with just 5 minutes of charge.
